IN LINE WITH MALAYSIA'S VISION 2020 TO MAKE OUR COUNTRY MORE GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE, THE LIGHT PROJECT GLOWS WITH SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION.
Arriving at a time of economic confidence and promise of bigger things to come in Malaysia, THE LIGHT will benefit from other significant developments arising from the The Northern Corridor Economic Region
initiative and the 9th Malaysia Plan.
Among these are plans to make Penang into an attractive Cybercity destination in the Northern Region, and the development of Penang's second bridge, Penang Outer Ring Road and the monorail. All of which will add advantages to the success of THE LIGHT.
If Malaysia expects an upswing in visitor arrivals and expenditure, THE LIGHT is ready to assist in drawing huge numbers of local, regional and international leisure and business visitors to Penang.
The stage is set and the mood is right for THE LIGHT to make a big impact on the Penang economy
Northern Corridor Economic Region

Monorail
The RM 1.2 billion monorail will cover 40 stations on a 37km route.
The Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP)
